Foothills Medical Centre | Power Plant Upgrade

Our scope of work included the manufacture and installation of DESA 2500HP Curtain Wall System equipped with multiple different glazing applications; vision, fritted pattern glass and spandrel glazing. A unique element in this build was the outward leaning glass wall with fritted patterned glass. With the help of our in house engineering department, we were able to customize our system to ensure it was structurally sound while maintaining all visual and aesthetic requirements. With the addition and upgrade of systems within the power plant, it was imperative that the structure could pass noise assessments as to not disturb nearby communities and occupants within the hospital. From choosing the correct glass to ensuring our installation was of the highest workmanship, DESA’s systems were able to pass all tests and meet the acoustic requirements.
